Access to Healthcare

Our goal is to increase Access to Care Providers.

A person’s ability to access health services affects their health and well-being. Regular and reliable access to health services can:

• Prevent disease and disability
• Detect and treat illnesses or other health conditions
• Increase quality of life
• Reduce the likelihood of early death
• Increase life expectancy

Do you have a primary care provider (PCP)? Is it easy to reach your health care provider by phone? Can you get an appointment in the time that you need it? Do you have transportation to your appointment?  Does your health care provider offer same day appointments or appointments after regular business hours?  These are all questions that the Access to Health Care Subcommittee asks. We work to make sure that the people in Coos County get health care when they need it.
